We found evo at exactly the right time.
Coming out of the COVID lockdowns, we were drawn to a brand that didn’t take itself—or hair—too seriously. The packaging was different. The product names made us laugh. And underneath all of that personality were products that actually worked.
Years later, it’s still here because we genuinely love it.
evo puts performance and ingredients on equal footing, constantly introduces new ideas, and gives us products that are just as fun for our clients to use at home as they are for us behind the chair.
There’s another reason evo feels like Hello, too. Jen is an evo educator. She loves that the company gives her the freedom to customize education around what an individual salon actually needs rather than teaching every class from the same script.

We’ve always carried a second product line alongside evo, but we never felt like we had found one that truly fit Hello.
KEVIN.MURPHY changed that.
Where evo is playful and irreverent, KEVIN.MURPHY brings a more editorial, fashion-driven personality. It’s also a more widely recognized brand, which makes it familiar to clients who may be discovering Hello for the first time.
More importantly, it fills gaps for us. KEVIN.MURPHY puts performance first, and there are categories where we simply prefer what it offers. Sprays are a great example—we use evo sprays behind the chair, but the KEVIN.MURPHY options have been a better fit for many of our clients to take home.
Like evo, the support behind the products is important too. We wanted a brand whose values made sense for Hello, and that would invest in our team through education and support.
Together, evo and KEVIN.MURPHY let us choose the product—not just the brand—that makes the most sense for your hair.
WHAT SHOULD I USE?
Start with what you want your hair to do.
There isn’t one shampoo, conditioner, or styling product that works for everyone. Fine hair that needs volume is different from dry hair that needs moisture. Color-treated hair has different needs than hair that’s never been colored. And the products that create a smooth blowout probably aren’t the same ones we’d reach for to build texture.
That’s why we don’t start with a brand. We start with your hair.
Tell us what you love about your hair, what drives you crazy, how much time you actually spend styling it, and what you’re trying to recreate at home. We can help narrow it down from there.
Sometimes the answer is one product. Sometimes it’s a cocktail.
Our team loves mixing products to create the right combination of hold, texture, volume, moisture, or finish. It’s another way we can customize what you’re using instead of handing everyone the same bottle.
And yes, “What shampoo should I use?” is a perfectly good question.
